About Virgin Islands National Park

Virgin Islands National Park protects over half of St. John in the US Virgin Islands, including stunning beaches, coral reefs, and tropical forests. Trunk Bay consistently ranks among the world's most beautiful beaches and features an underwater snorkel trail. The park also preserves the ruins of 18th-century sugar plantations and ancient petroglyphs carved by the Taino people. The surrounding waters contain vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish, sea turtles, and rays.
