About Canyonlands National Park
Canyonlands National Park preserves 337,598 acres of colorful canyons, mesas, and buttes at the heart of the Colorado Plateau. The park is divided into four districts: Island in the Sky, The Needles, The Maze, and the rivers (Colorado and Green). Each district offers a different experience, from accessible viewpoints to extreme backcountry adventures. The Maze is considered one of the most remote and inaccessible regions in the continental United States.
