About Lake Clark National Park
Lake Clark National Park and Preserve protects 4 million acres of diverse Alaska landscapes—from ocean coastline to alpine glaciers to volcanic mountains. The park features two active volcanoes, turquoise glacial lakes, and some of the best brown bear viewing in Alaska at coastal areas like Chinitna Bay. Despite being only an hour flight from Anchorage, the park remains one of the least visited due to its lack of roads or trails. It's Alaska wilderness at its most pristine.
