About Kenai Fjords National Park
Kenai Fjords National Park protects the Harding Icefield, one of the largest ice fields in the United States, and the tidewater glaciers that flow from it into the Gulf of Alaska. The park's rugged coastline features dramatic fjords carved by ancient glaciers, now home to incredible marine life including humpback whales, orcas, and sea otters. Exit Glacier is the park's most accessible feature, where visitors can walk to the face of a glacier and see the dramatic effects of climate change.
